The stress of the long school holidays can drive mums and dads to divorce, a survey has found.
Legal firm Stowe Family Law say as many as a fifth of couples find their relationship under strain by the end of the school break.
It blames the pressure of balancing work and childcare over the summer and the associated financial burdens.
Stowe says that the annual spike in divorce enquiries they receive in early autumn could be linked to the stresses caused by families spending so much time together over the summer.
