'Strictly Come Dancing' Star Anton Du Beke Hits Out At The Judges For Axing Jerry Hall

Anton Hits Out At 'Strictly' Judges

Jerry Hall's professional dance partner Anton du Beke has hit out at the 'Strictly Come Dancing' judges for axing the supermodel from the show.

The duo were kicked off the hit BBC ballroom show on Sunday after failing to impress the judges in the "dance-off" with their routine to Simon And Garfunkel's 'Mrs Robinson'.

Anton told The Sun that Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Darcey Bussell and Craig Revel Horwood ignored the supermodel's progress, saying: "Jerry danced really well on Saturday night but the improvement she made wasn't reflected in her marks from the judges.

"Their comments were heavily weighted towards her posture - which does need work - and not the way she actually moved on the dance floor.

"The show is called 'Strictly Come Dancing', so you would have thought that side of things would have been considered - but apparently not."

Dancer Anton added: "I'm not saying Jerry went from beginner to fabulous in a week but there was an improvement and I had hoped the marks would improve.

"There were no gimmicks to our routine, I didn't swing her in or drag her across the floor. We did a proper dance with depth and Jerry was quite capable."

Jerry was forced into a dance-off with retired cricketer Michael Vaughan and his partner Natalie Lowe, which she lost.
