Strictly Come Dancing's Bill Bailey Reveals How Coronavirus Restrictions Are Affecting His Home Life

The comedian has revealed he "can't go near" his teenage son... despite them living under the same roof.

Strictly Come Dancing contestant Bill Bailey has revealed he’s having to avoid his teenage son to avoid breaking the show’s coronavirus restrictions, despite them living under the same roof.

However, while Bill’s bubble includes partner Oti Mabuse and his wife, Kristin, their 16-year-old son Dax is not able to be included, as he is still attending school.

Kristin won’t be able to go out and we can’t be near our son, Dax, because of his potential exposure at school,” Bill told The Times“When he comes home he’ll eat separately from us. He thinks it’s hilarious.”

Bill also joked: “If I make any progress beyond the first round, then there’s a fair chance he’ll go feral.”

The stand-up comedian was one of the biggest surprises during this year’s Strictly live show, earning a lot of love from viewers for his Cha Cha Cha routine.

While judges Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse were similarly impressed, each awarding him six of a possible 10 points, Craig Revel Horwood was seemingly less enthused, giving them a measly three.

Pop singer HRVY bagged the highest score of the week on 25 points, even earning the first nine of the series from Motsi, while EastEnders star Maisie Smith was just behind on 24.

Strictly returns for the second live show of the series on Saturday night, although sadly producers have decided against going ahead with the show’s usual Halloween special.
