Awkward.

Craig Revel Horwood has never been one to mince his words, but the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge’s barbed comments are usually aimed at the contestants on the show - not his colleagues.

But it was ‘Strictly’ host Tess Daly and his fellow judge Bruno Tonioli who were allegedly on the receiving end of Craig’s sharp tongue on the first night of his UK book tour on Friday night.

The 53-year-old also reportedly blasted contestant Seann Walsh and his dance partner Katya Jones after they were caught cheating on their partners in public when footage of them kissing in the street emerged last week.

According to the Sun, Craig admitted his book is “honest like me”, before reportedly going on to label Tess Daly’s presenting style “dull”.

The Sun reports he told the audience: “In those ten or 20 seconds where I have to answer Tess’s quite dull questions actually . . . I tend to avoid them and not answer if I’m super honest.”

He then added: “If there is anyone here from the Press I did not say that.”

And although he says he’s friends with Bruno, he allegedly admitted that he’s not a fan of his behaviour on the show.

“I get on with him but he is driving me nuts at the moment,” Craig said.

“Every time I try and speak he is dancing across the desk or falling off his chair. I think he is a proper attention-seeker or something has gone.

“I like him as a person. He’s very nice. He has taken me out to dinner once. I’ve taken him out about 25 times.”

And as for Seann and Katya’s PDA, Craig has no sympathy, reportedly saying: “Katya was in the wrong. I think she should have gone: “No, no, no. I’m your teacher. You might want to tongue kiss me. You might want a bit of this but you can’t have it darling. I’m married.

“They have only got themselves to blame because they did it publicly. I would have, if I had the intention and I was wanting to do all that, I would have got a room...you know?”

Earlier this week, contestant Graeme Swann has hinted at tensions behind the scenes on this year’s ’Strictly’.

The cricketer commented that the contestants are “pulling out knives” from their backs as the competition heats up, adding there are “one or two” people that “nobody really likes”.
