‘Strictly Come Dancing’: Former Pro Flavia Cacace Gives Her Verdict On Why The Dreaded ‘Curse’ Strikes

'Some people can't handle all that physical closeness.'

‘Strictly Come Dancing’ fans will know all about the so-called “curse”, when a participating celebrity ends a (usually long-term) relationship while on - or shortly after leaving - the show.

Speaking to the Telegraph, she explains: “I think it sends the celebrities mad.

Flavia previously left her long-term boyfriend, fellow dancer Vincent Simone, for Matt di Angelo, shortly after lifting the Glitterball trophy with the soap star in 2007.

After their split, she began dating Jimi Mistry, who she was paired with on ‘Strictly’ in 2010, and the pair are still together.

Addressing the beginning of her flirtations with Matt, she says: “It all happened in the most atrocious way.

The current series of ‘Strictly’ is barely underway, but there’s already been talk of possible romances.

Giovanni Pernice’s ex-girlfriend Georgia May Foote was forced to deny reports that she was worried about him being paired up with Laura Whitmore.
