Strictly Come Dancing star Neil Jones has hit back at Craig Revel Horwood following comments the judge made about his and Alex Scott’s performance over the weekend.
During Saturday night’s live show, Neil and Alex found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard for their Tango routine to Fleetwood Mac’s Go Your Own Way, but were saved from the bottom two by Strictly viewers.
Craig gave the couple just four marks out of a possible 10, telling the former Lioness he felt she’d made a mistake during the routine, but after rewatching the performance, Neil has admitted he doesn’t think it was a fair critique.
“You didn’t go wrong,” Neil told his celebrity partner during Thursday night’s It Takes Two. “Even after we said it the other day, you didn’t go wrong.”
Neil added that he’d watched the performance “over and over again” in search of the mistake that Craig pointed out, but had been unable to spot it.
Hoping to bounce back from the bottom of the leaderboard, this week will see Alex and Neil tackling the Charleston to Pump Up The Jam by Swingrowers.
Saturday night’s show will also feature a Salsa routine set to Who Let The Dogs Out, performed by Karim Zeroual and Amy Dowden, while frontrunners Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse will be delivering a Cha Cha Cha to Aston Merrygold’s Get Stupid.
Find out how the remaining 12 couples get on when Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday night at 6.40pm on BBC One.
