The 'Strictly Come Dancing' love fairy has been at work again, with the revelation today of a passionate romance between former contestant Rachel Riley and her professional partner last series, Pasha Kovalev.
Rachel and Pasha got close during the show, on which they were partnered
'Countdown' mathematician Rachel's marriage to her childhood sweetheart Jamie broke down during the course of the show last year, something at the time she put down to the 'Strictly' curse - ie, the show seeing more than its fair share of romantic splits as the celebs and partners all spend long hours in the dance studio, away from their loved ones. Most recently, presenter Susanna Reid split from her longtime partner during the making of the last series.
Rachel insisted there was no one else involved at the time, and she and Pasha got together afterwards, becoming a couple earlier this summer.
Brucie's back... one final time
The news comes with the return of 'Strictly' to screen this evening, with new hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly preparing to take the reins from Sir Bruce Forsyth, who will take one final turn around the dancefloor this evening before he hands over the baton.
Brucie has said he'll be spending his Saturday evenings from now on watching the show from the comfort of his living room... and popping into his local bingo club.
Tonight will see the unveiling of which celeb is partnered with which professional dancer. There have been reports of Judy Murray being teamed up with Anton Du Beke, but we will have to wait and see the full list.
