He may be an Olympic medal winner, but boxer Anthony Ogogo admits that compared to Peter Andre, he feels 'awkward' when it comes to looking good in a Strictly Come Dancing outfit.

"My dancing experience is zilch so when I'm watching Peter Andre in rehearsals, I feel like a stiff ironing board and he looks sexy, smooth and is wiggling his hips," he said, "Even when we put on our outfits he looked so cool and like a Spanish bull fighter and I stood there in my little baby blue number feeling very awkward."

Ogogo joins the star-studded line up of contestants, that also includes celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott and Olympian turned sports presenter Iwan Thomas.

Thomas admits he's "mega competitive", but says: "Although I'm playing it down because I truly can't dance!"

BBC weather presenter Carol Kirkwood says she's looking for a strong partner.

"I don't want to flatten them and ruin their career after the first week," she said.

Kirkwood went on to say that although she'd like to win, and will "throw everything at it", she's also a realist.

"I'm 53 and probably not the fittest person you are ever going to meet so I don't fancy my chances but I'm going to give it everything I have," she said.

Call The Midwife's Helen George revealed it's going to be a challenging few weeks for her as she'll be juggling filming Strictly with learning her lines for Call The Midwife.

This year's show starts on BBC One at 7.15pm on September 5, and is hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.

Meanwhile, Zoe Ball returns to present BBC Two's, It Takes Two.
