It has been claimed that Shane, best known for his role as Alfie Moon in ‘EastEnders’, could bank a “signing-on fee” of around £50,000 for his appearance, which would then jump up to £150,000 if he’s voted through to the ‘Strictly’ final.
An insider tells The Mirror: “Soap stars always figure highly on Strictly and producers are mulling over who to go for - at the moment they like the idea of Shane.

“That goes out in the autumn and bosses think it would be great to have him on ‘Strictly’ as it will give it great publicity.”
Jake Wood, who plays Max Branning in the BBC soap, juggled ‘EastEnders’ filming with his appearance on ‘Strictly’ last year - where his unprecedented snake-hips made him one of the stand-out contestants - while Shane’s on-screen wife, Jessie Wallace, took part in the show back in 2008.

Shane isn’t the only soap star producers have their eye on though - they’re also hoping to lure former ‘Coronation Street’ actress Georgia May Foot, according to the newspaper.
Louis Walsh and Perez Hilton have also expressed interest in the forthcoming series, while other rumours have linked Richard Madeley and Dermot O’Leary with potential spots on this year’s line-up.
