Strictly Come Dancing’ kicked off in style last weekend, as the latest batch of celebrity contestants were each paired up with a professional dancer during a typically glitter-filled launch show.

Attention has now turned to the impending live shows, which begin later this month, with many fans desperate to get their hands on tickets to be in the studio audience when the couples each take to the floor for the first time.

Well, you are not too late to enter the ballot to win tickets - but you’ll have to hurry!

The deadline to enter the random draw is fast approaching, with BBC closing registration on Thursday 8 September 2016 at 4pm.

Tickets are free and you can apply for a maximum of two for each live show.

However, if you’re successful in your application, you will be allocated only one date, as demand for tickets is extremely high every year.

The live shows are broadcast from Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, except during Blackpool Week, when ‘Strictly’ airs live from the Tower Ballroom.

To register for the ticket ballot, you need to visit the BBC Shows and Tours website, here.

This year’s line-up includes the likes of Ed Balls, Laura Whitmore, Judge Rinder and Louise Redknapp, with Olympic gymnast Claudia Fragapane currently the bookies’ favourite to win.

‘Strictly Come Dancing’ returns on Friday 23 September on BBC One.
