A man has denied assaulting Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg by throwing paint at him.
Stuart Rodger, 22, from Inverkeithing in Fife, is alleged to have thrown an egg containing paint at the Liberal Democrat leader, which is said to have struck him on the body, on August 25 this year.
The alleged attack happened at Woodside Hall in Glenfarg Street, Glasgow.
At Glasgow Sheriff Court, Rodger pleaded not guilty to assault.
He also denied breaching the peace, a charge which alleges he conducted himself in a disorderly manner.
His case was continued to a further hearing on February 20, with a trial set for February 27.
Mr Clegg, who was in the city as part of a tour of the UK, previously made light of the alleged incident, saying it was "not a big deal".
