One In Four Students Have Slept With HOW Many Partners?

More than a quarter of students have admitted to bedding up to 50 different partners whilst at university, according to a new survey.

Student Beans questioned more than 6,000 students and found that the age old view of uni as a time to explore sexuality still rings true.

Threesome activity amongst students appears to be on the rise

The reputation of students as casual sex connoisseurs appears to be intact as well with 51% admitting to having a one-night stand since starting university. Labels of students as lazy also proved accurate, with female respondents displaying a preference for missionary whilst their male counterparts preferred their partner putting the hard work in on top.

However, not all of them were content to sit on their backsides with many showing an adventurous streak. Nearly half of those questioned (43%) had tried anal sex, whilst 27% participated in role plays and 59% in spanking. Threesomes were also on the rise, with 13% of those surveyed claiming that they'd indulged.

In this age of technology, it's perhaps inevitable that students' sex lives are becoming increasingly digitised and 40% of students reported engaging in cyber sex whilst nearly two thirds have sent explicit pictures of themselves to a partner. Technology is also reflected in the rise of dating apps such as Tinder, which 31% of students revealed they use.

However, the survey did highlighted some more worrying aspects of sexual antics at university. More than half (54%) admitted to having had unprotected sex, whilst only 24% could claim that they ‘always’ use condoms. So, it is perhaps unsurprising that half of the female respondents reported having taken the morning after pill with a further half of all those questioned claiming to have regretted having sex with someone.
