A celebrity team including Dara O'Briain and former Spice Girl Mel C has completed its tough Zambezi challenge for Comic Relief - with even their support team plunged into rapids after a capsize.
The stars have battled rapids daily as they headed down the African river with five days of paddling, travelling up to 18 miles on each.
The exhausted team - which also included Jack Dee, Chelsee Healey, Phillips Idowu and Greg James - finished the final leg of the BT Red Nose Challenge: Hell and High Water this afternoon.
Their final stages saw them clambering down a 200ft gorge on a ladder, known locally as "the steps of doom", and clinging on to their raft as they faced the biggest rapids of the week. Their back-up were thrown into the water.
Radio 1 presenter James said: "Let me sum up how I'm feeling in one phrase - I'm over it. It's been really tough. But we're here, we've been doing this challenge and we all look like idiots, but the point is to raise a lot of money for the people we've been meeting out here."
The journey, which has seen encounters with crocodiles, snakes and hippos, has the aim of raising £1 million to help children in Zambia go to school.
