Singing sensation Susan Boyle was reportedly seen screaming and weeping in front of shocked families at a busy motorway service station.
The 51-year-old was said to have unleashed a torrent of abuse at Knutsford Services in Cheshire and needed calming down by an aide. A number of onlookers filmed the scene on their phones but the police were not called.
A friend of the singer told The Sun: "She wanted to go home as she was tired and upset. Susan is very sorry to anyone she upset."
Susan, who has earlier performed in I Dreamed a Dream musical in Manchester, was said to have been "distressed and agitated" by her busy schedule.
Susan rose to fame after a performance on Britain's Got Talent in 2009. She finished in second place and her first album debuted as the number one best-selling album on charts around the globe.
But she subsequently had to spend time in The Priory after feeling exhausted and drained.
