Susanna Reid’s former ‘BBC Breakfast’ co-host Bill Turnbull has given his verdict on her presenting on ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain’.
Susanna presented on ‘BBC Breakfast’ for over a decade, before it was announced earlier this year that she was defecting to ITV to join the presenting team on the ‘Good Morning Britain’ reboot.

While the show has received mixed reviews from viewers, Bill has praised his former co-host’s new venture, telling The Mirror: “I have had a quick look once or twice at Good Morning Britain. It’s interesting. Susanna is a great presenter and has brought a lot to the programme.”
However, the ITV morning show has been hit by falling viewing figures since it launched, and even on the morning of its debut there were twice as many people watching ‘BBC Breakfast’.
Bill has admitted that he’s glad Susanna’s absence hasn’t led to a dip in viewing figures for ‘BBC Breakfast’ adding: “I am pleased our audience hasn’t been affected. We have heard from a lot of people who say they have looked at the other side and they want to stick with us and that is what I am pleased about."

He also discussed life on the daytime show post-Susanna, saying: “We carry on. The thing about ‘Breakfast’ is we are a family of presenters. Members of that family come and go and still the programme carries on in much the same way as it did before.
“It is a big team effort - not just people that are on screen but the producers as well.”
Susanna's new co-presenter Ben Shephard - who she described as a “legend” prior to the ‘GMB’ launch - recently defended her, saying she was “brilliant”, while Natasha Kaplinksy also revealed she is a fan of the former ‘Strictly’ star.
