Sylvester Stallone got back in the ring at the weekend, but rather than readying himself for Rocky VII the actor watched Wladimir Klitschko defeat Mariusz Wach.

Klitschko successfully defended his IBF, WBA and WBO titles with a unanimous points victory over Polish challenger Wach in Hamburg on Saturday.

"It was great to have Rocky here, thank you for your support," 'The Viking' said after his victory.

It was Klitschko’s first fight since the death of his coach, Emanuel Steward, who passed away at the end of last month in his home town of Detroit after surgery for cancer.

"Steward was a great man and we will never forget him," added the 36-year-old.

Stallone meanwhile greeted fans beforehand as part of the promotional campaign for the Rocky musical, which opened in Germany on Sunday.
