Taylor shared the news with her 44.8 million (yes, really) followers on Twitter, writing: "Way excited about being a 'key advisor' on @NBCTheVoice. Here are some pics of me and the coaches that I key advised."

The picture showed the singer with the programme's judges, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.

She joins fellow advisors Alicia Keys, Gavin Rossdale, Stevie Wonder and Little Big Town on the show.

The news comes just as Taylor is about to release her new album, 1989.

The singer has been doing a host of '1989 Secret Sessions' events where she's been performing to fans in different cities across America.

According to the Daily Mail, Taylor recently told FASHION magazine she's now not as focused on romance as she used to be: "When I was younger, I was just fascinated by romance and now the most important thing to me is the opinions of [my] sisterhood of friends,' she told the magazine.

"Celebrities surround themselves with people who don't know what they want and only have you to validate their lives – that's not interesting to me.

"You should not be threatened by women who are pretty and charismatic and good at what they do... my girlfriends have shaped me more in the past year and a half than any other factor."

And the star's also been busy fronting more magazine covers, namely her first British Vogue cover.

She Instagrammed a picture of the cover, writing: "Guys I'm really excited about this. My first @britishvogue cover!"

And she certainly looks amazing.
