A teacher has been arrested after he was found under a schoolgirl's bed – by the teenager's mum!
The mother became suspicious when she arrived home early and began searching the house expecting to find a boy in the house.
But she went berserk when she found the 35-year-old maths teacher cowering under her 16-year-old daughter's bed.
Apparently, the teacher and the teen had sneaked back to the house on the last day of term.
The mum, from Bolton, Greater Manchester, called the police, who confirmed: "A man was arrested on suspicion of abusing a position of trust."
According to The Sun, a source said: "The pair had gone back to the girl's house because they thought no one would be there.
"But the mum came home earlier than expected and caught them.
"She went into her daughter's room and found the teacher hiding under the bed. It was a terrible shock. I think she had only come home to grab some lunch. The mum went berserk."
The teacher was arrested and quizzed for several hours and is now on police bail. He cannot be identified for legal reasons.
The school head - whose staff were last year rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted - refused to say if the teacher had been suspended.
Officials there said: "The school is co-operating fully with the ongoing investigation."
A police spokesman added: "Officers and a number of partner agencies are investigating the circumstances leading up to the incident.
"This investigation will also look at any safeguarding issues that need to be addressed and establish if any offences have been committed."
