A 15-year-old boy stabbed to death after a birthday party in east London was a rapper in the controversial drill scene, according to reports.

The teenager who was named by detectives as Jordan Douherty from Grays, Essex, died on Saturday after he was found with stab wounds outside a community centre in Clockhouse Lane, Romford.

He performed under the name Young Valenti and appeared in a number of YouTube videos with the group C17 and with Valenti, who is thought to be his older brother.

Police were called at about 9.05pm and found the injured teen in the street. He was treated at the scene by paramedics but was pronounced dead a short while later.

He had been attending a 16th birthday party at the centre when hundreds of young people reportedly gatecrashed after the details were posted on social media.

After the party was shut down, witnesses say a fight broke out in the street and they saw around 20 youths set upon Douherty.

A local mother, named only as Carol, told The Sun, saw him being “jumped” by the group.

She said: “Police were on the scene really quickly and tried to resuscitate him before the paramedics arrived.”

Detective sergeant Gurj Singh said: “Response officers who attended the initial calls were confronted with up to 100 youths leaving a birthday party gathering at a community centre.

“There appeared to be fighting and tragically a teenager has been found with fatal injuries.”

Three teenage boys aged 15, 16 and 17 arrested on suspicion of murder following the incident have now been released under investigation, the Met Police said.
