Robbie Williams has become a dad for the first time – and in time-honoured celebrity tradition, the Take That star announced the arrival of baby 'Teddy' on Twitter, saying: "Baby, mummy and daddy are all rockin..."
The 38-year-old singer's wife Ayda Field gave birth to the little girl – whose full name is Theodora Rose - on Tuesday, weighing 7lb 4oz.
One of the first people to congratulate him was Take That bandmate Gary Barlow, who experienced tragedy with his wife last month when their baby daughter Poppy was stillborn.
He Tweeted: "Massive congrats Rob and Ayda. So happy for you."
In an interview for BBC Breakfast, Williams said the prospect of fatherhood 'terrified' him.
He said: "I'm terrified because I'm an incredibly selfish man and this is a time when I can't afford to be selfish because of the guilt and the shame I will feel if I don't get this right."

Williams and his US actress wife recently announced they had chosen a traditional name for their daughter, adding there was going to be 'no mad celebrity baby name'.
He said: ''I do have a sort of celebrity name but it's not Apple-esque. It's a very solid, old-school name.''
Williams has said that he would prefer his child to grow up in the UK instead of Los Angeles, where the couple currently live.
He described children educated in LA schools as having 'a massive sense of entitlement' and that they were 'dull and dumb'.
''I don't want to educate our baby in LA because I would much prefer her to have English sensibilities," he said.
''I want the baby to have an English passport, we're still figuring out exactly whereabouts the baby is going to be brought up.''
Williams and Field have been in a relationship for five years. They married two years ago.
Congratulations, Robbie and Ayda.
