Beauty advent calendars are being unveiled all over the shop – but Liberty London’s one is perhaps the biggest and best of all.
Since its launch in 2014, the calendar has become the fastest selling product in the department store’s 145-year history. It usually sells out online, prompting queues of people lining up around the store to get their hands on it.
This year was no different, with loyal customers queuing round the block the day it went on sale. Jean from London was the first, the store told HuffPost UK, who arrived at the shop at 6.15am to get the calendar for her granddaughter.
Fortunately this year’s edition is still available to buy online and in store, and will set you back a cool £215. An impressive line-up of products feature in it, with 19 of the 25 drawers being full size, and it’s said to be worth over £600.
From a limited edition Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Face Mist, to an exclusive scent from Vihlelm Parfumerie, you’ll find products across skincare, haircare, makeup and fragrance.
Other pampering products include a Davines NouNou Hair Mask, a Trish McEvoy Beauty Booster and a Hair by Sam McKnight Lazy Girl Dry Shampoo decorated in the classic Liberty floral print. We’ll leave the rest as a surprise – but in short, beauty fans will be overjoyed with the contents.
This year, the store has also taken a sustainable approach to its calendar. “We have developed the packaging to be completely recyclable – you just have to cut out the magnet that closes the doors,” said Emily Bell, beauty buyer for Liberty London.
“Following our Conscious Beauty campaign, we see how important this is to our customers, so wanted to make sure we could deliver a premium product that is socially responsible.”
