After you’ve rung in a new decade and taken the Christmas decorations down, January can leave us feeling a little bleak, with the start of spring still months away. But to spruce up your calendar, why not book in a last minute trip away.

You needn’t even wait till January payday, given the prices in Easyjet’s winter sale, which is offering up to 20% off 300,000 seats (as well as up to £200 off beach holidays) until 20 January 2020. 

Fly to Europe for a week long of rest and relaxation or a long weekend of sightseeing, with change from a £20 note.

Salzburg

Pop over to the capital of Austria for a visit that’ll cost you £14.49 one way. The birthplace of Mozart and The Sound Of Music is a centre of culture and surrounded by picturesque scenery. Think sprawling hills, stunning church spires, opulent 17th century gardens and not forgetting a stroll through Augustiner Braü – Austria’s largest beer hall.

Marseilles

If you’re a beer lover, then head to Munich, with flights as little as £16.99 one way. With six breweries across the city, you’ll be able to taste the finest there is at any hour of the day. Lap up the culture in the Kunstareal, the city’s art quarter, which features a mix of modernism, neoclassical and many more genres. And if you’re a petrolhead, there’s even a BMW museum located near Olympiapark.  

Zurich

This Swiss city may not be the cheapest, but you can fly there from £16.99 one way.
