Meet Ed – the world's most virile man who has fathered 98 children. Ed Houben, from Holland, has been donating sperm since 2002.
But despite his virility, he was a virgin until the age of 34!
Ed, now 44, helps lesbian couples, single women and heterosexual couples with fertility problems to have children free of charge.
But rather than using turkey basters or syringes, he gets women pregnant the old-fashioned way.
He told the BBC: "People probably think 'Oh, he has sex without responsibility', but usually I'm the only person people can talk to if it doesn't work."
His latest child, number 98, is Madita, whose mother is a 28-year-old nursery nurse. Desperate for a child, she began to look for a sperm donor and found Ed, although they got to know each other before the deed was done.
Ed keeps a list of mothers and children to try and reduce the risk of any mix-ups or interbreeding in the future.
He explained: "If, later on, one of my children meets someone who doesn't know who his natural father is, he can consult this list."
He has sown his seed around the globe but usually waits for women to come to him at his home in Maastricht, although he still makes exceptions if his partners are entering a particularly fertile period - provided they pay his travelling expenses and accommodation.
His 'family' lives in cities worlwide, including Berlin - three children, Holland, Italy, Spain, Belgium, France and even New Zealand.
He began donating sperm to local clinics, then he found there was a market for procreation the natural way and he has never looked back.
Spermaspender.de. in Germany is one of the websites he uses to connect with childless women desperate to conceive.
They know Ed has a good pedigree because he gives 80 per cent of the females he has sex with a child.
All his partners must submit medical records showing they are disease and drug free while he reciprocates.
Included in his paperwork is a semen analysis known as a 'spermiogram' that shows he is the real deal: a sperm count of less than 20 million shows the potential donor is 'not a good prospect.' The prospects are increased for sperm counts of 80 to 100 million. Ed's count is 100 million.
He joked: "I don't fire blanks!"
Do husbands ever get jealous about him having sex with their wives?
Ed answered: "They are beyond these feelings of "ooh there's a stranger sleeping with my wife'."
Sperm banks generally charge around four to five thousand pounds for insemination but Ed does it for free.
He used to get his partners to sign documents waiving legal claims to child support, but after being advised by a lawyer it wouldn't hold up in court, so he now relies on 'good faith'.
