Linford Christie is being tipped for an appearance in the new series of ‘The Jump’, when it kicks off next year.
The former Olympian has an array of gold medals for his impressive skills in sprinting, but it looks like he’ll be trying out a whole new world of physical endurance when the winter sports-based series returns to screens in 2016.

An insider tells The Sun: “Linford’s a brilliant signing. He’s incredibly competitive and has an unbelievable will to win."
As the source points out, Linford’s sporting background doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll succeed on the slopes - as proved by last year’s winner, Joey Essex, who triumphed over Olympians Louis Smith and Louise Hazel, as well as rugby player Mike Tindall.
The insider continues: “Being a brilliant athlete doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll be great on the slopes as it’s a completely different discipline. ‘The Jump’ has had sportsmen in the past and they haven’t always done that well.
“Either way, Linford’s a great personality and will make superb TV.”

Meanwhile, Digital Spy have claimed that former Westlife singer-turned-TV-personality Brian McFadden has also signed up for the show.
The full line-up is said to be announced “in the next few days”, with former ‘TOWIE’ cast member Gemma Collins having been previously linked with a spot on the show.
However, her ‘The Jump’ future could be in jeopardy, as she’s also been heavily tipped to be joining the upcoming series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, alongside David Gest, Spencer Matthews and former ‘Strictly’ professional Ola Jordan.
