The intimate portrait shows their close family bond - far more evocative than the stiff line ups of usual official Royal portraits, including one of the other released photos (see below), showing the Royal family and Middleton clan arranged around Prince George.

The photo was taken following the royal christening at a tea at Clarence House, an intimate affair to which only 22 guests were invited, including the seven godparents.
