Boy George has admitted there’s been a bit of behind-the-scenes tension on ‘The Voice’, over one of his contestant’s song choices.
The Culture Club frontman has revealed that Cody Frost, one of three contestants he’s mentoring, told him that she wasn’t happy with the song he picked for her to perform in Saturday night’s live show.
Speaking to Digital Spy, George explains: “We had a little bit of a difference but what was great was that Cody was performing the particular song which she's going to do on Saturday and she was like, 'I'm not feeling it'.”
As you can imagine, she’s doing the song anyway.
George is one of two new additions to the ‘Voice’ judging panel this year, alongside fellow newbie Paloma Faith, who recently admitted she’s unhappy with being the only woman on the team.
The current series will be the last shown on the BBC, with fellow judge will.i.am recently admitting he’d be keen to return when the show moves to ITV in 2017… but only if Paloma, George and Ricky Wilson were swapped out for original judges Jessie J, Sir Tom Jones and Danny O’Donoghue.
‘The Voice’ goes live on Saturday (26 Match) at 7pm on BBC One.
