Last month, it was confirmed that, after four series of ‘The Voice’, bosses had decided not to have Sir Tom back on the show, with Paloma and Boy George joining the mentoring panel for the forthcoming fifth series instead.
The ‘It’s Not Unusual’ singer made no secret of his disdain for the way his departure was handled, telling his loyal fans, after the news broke: “I’d put the time in my schedule to be involved in Series 5, as I’ve done so for the last four years. Paloma has now revealed that she spoke to Sir Tom shortly after the controversy broke, telling The Mirror: “He was very upset about the way they handled his exit.

Simon Cowell recently admitted he’d be keen to involve Sir Tom in the current series of ‘The X Factor’, the biggest TV rival to ‘The Voice’.
This came after he’d already poached former ‘Voice’ coach Rita Ora to join him on the ‘X Factor’ judging line-up earlier this year, alongside Nick Grimshaw and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
