If you're in the process of planning a wedding, and the bridezilla neuroses is kicking in, we strongly recommend that you make some time for watching The Wedding Video.
Set in Cheshire - England's very own Beverley Hills - a society wedding with big ambitions is the focus for this mockumentary. Stand up comic Rufus Hound makes his big screen debut as amateur filmmaker and best man, Raif. As brother to the groom Raif watches as the couple (excellent comedienne Lucy Punch and comedian Robert Webb) slowly but surely lose the plot in an effort to create a truly Hello!-worthy wedding (complete with a Titantic-themed bridal entrance).
"Fortunately this wedding bears absolutely no resemblance to my own wedding; it's a about sideways looks at the wedding industry and the unrealistic expectations that people put on their wedding" Hound told us. And what words of wisdom does the comic have for those about to say I do? "Just remember that everyone there loves you, and loves the fact you love each other - and if that means that they have to bring their own booze and nothing matches and the room isn't strewn with swan ice sculptures - well that's just fine and dandy."
The Wedding Video is released 17 August. Watch the trailer here:
