When Prada presented its Autumn/Winter 2013 collection at Milan Fashion Week, fashion critics admired the prints, the sequins and those metallic platform sandals, but the one thing they couldn't take their eyes off? The standout, luxury coat of the season, made from mink and sable furs.
So - when it comes to buying such an item, how much would this Prada piece cost? According to Fashionista, this particular coat will set you back $140,240 - that's just almost £91,000. OUCH.
While that amount of cash could also buy you many more worthwhile things such as a flat, a lifetime's supply of London travelcards and a few amazing holidays to anywhere you fancy, Prada isn't the only brand to produce such a ridiculously expensive item.
Here's a reminder of some of the other culprits:
1. The Victoria's Secret Treasure Bra - Miranda Kerr kindly modelled the world's most expensive bra back in 2011. How much? $2.5 MILLION.
2. Christian Louboutin Daffodile - the 160 crystal-embellished leather pumps are probably the outrageous shoes EVER. Great for attracting magpies, they're nearly £4,000 - a bargain compared to the bra.
3. The Row Rucksack - When the Olsen twins and Damien Hirst teamed up to design a handbag - this was the result. It's practical, pretty and costs £34,000. (Why not save up and buy some actual Damien Hirst artwork?)
4. Hermes Vintage Birkin - a celebrity fave, this particular style classic will set you back £17,800. The good news? It's currently on sale at Matches and is down to a more reasonable £10,680.
