I'd love to paint a different picture than the one I'm going to paint. However, in the last few months it has become abundantly clear that the government doesn't genuinely care about Britain's Youths. Yes, it has launched the Start-up loan scheme, although some would argue that this barely scratches the surface of what is needed.
To get Britain's Youths back "in the game" we need more than just political rhetoric of which the government is brilliant at. We need entrepreneurial people creating entrepreneurial solutions. You'd think the government would support two young entrepreneurs fighting to help 1m+ of Britain's Youths to build a future in entrepreneurship.
However, both Vince Cable and Matthew Hancock have both deemed our fight to be unworthy of a direct reply to a letter my business partner Andy wrote to them. Instead we have been fobbed off with advice about us needing mentoring and pointed towards the .gov business website.
If this is the response that we are getting then I wonder how the government genuinely plans to answer the question of building prosperity for the young people of Britain.
So we are all on the same page, you'll be able to see the letter we received back from the government which created the idea of The Big Society - everyone helping each other and taking the lead.
