This Week You Should Try... HD Brows
|

I've always been that girl with a generous brow. My childhood traumas were definitely rooted in unruly, unfathomable eyebrows that would grow upright no matter how much I smoothed them down. Despite vigorous plucking over time - yes I went heavy on the hacking front on more than one occasion - I've never got the shape, arch, or structure quite right.

So you can imagine my excitement when a) Cara Delevingne brought back BOLD beauty and started representing gals with big brows and b) a trusted beauty ally told me about HD Brows.

HD Brows is a revolutionary seven step treatment that creates a bespoke shape using a combination of tinting, waxing, threading, tweezing, soothing and finishing. This is grooming I had to get on board with, so I made an appointment with Jane from Professional By Karen Betts at its beauty suite in Harley Street to see if my brows could really be tamed.

Upon booking the treatment I was sent a dye patch test to do before the appointment to ensure I didn't have an allergic reaction, and was subsequently given the OK on arrival before being led through to my treatment room. I sat back into a large leather chair and gave Jane the low-down on my eyebrow past. She totally got me, and after praising my voluminous brows said: "Don't you worry, I love a good challenge". Huh.

The process starts with tinting - a black dye was applied to my already very dark eyebrows, filling in the tweeze-frenzy gaps and enhancing my shape. My brows were then tidied with tiny wax strips, threaded and plucked to perfection. The treatment takes about 45mins and I felt in very capable hands - Jane was ALL about the high definition

The results? Bold brows that have completely altered my look. I love them. AND I love my new HD eye and brow palette which is a total beauty must-have when it comes to maintaining beauty and shape. Delevingne-tastic.
