With supermarket chains branching out into skincare (Aldi and Tesco's ranges pleasantly surprised Team MyDaily earlier this year), budget-friendly beauty products are easier to get hold of than ever before.
One of the latest own-brand skincare collections comes from Marks & Spencer. Formula Daily Care includes cleansers, toners and moisturisers for sensitive, dry and normal/combination skin. All the products are hypoallergenic but best of all, they cost between £3.00 - £5.50.
I tried three products from the sensitive skin range - the Daily Care Extra Rich Moisturiser, the Daily Care Cleansing Milk and the Daily Care Toner. They're all fragrance and colour free and thanks to the added chamomile, they're particularly soothing on the skin.
My favourite product in the range is the moisturiser. After the cold weather and too much central heating over winter, my complexion has been left feeling dried out. However, this creamy, "extra rich" formula hydrated my skin instantly.
The tube might be on the small side, but a little amount goes a long way. Unlike other rich moisturisers I've used, this one soaks in quickly and the hydrating effect lasts for hours. It makes a brilliant base for makeup too.
After trying the cleanser and toner, I started to think I should do away with my considerably more expensive beauty regime all together.
The cleanser isn't thick or oily and while cheaper products can sometimes cause redness, I didn't have any trouble with this one. Although toner is often the product many of us forget about, this one is definitely worthing incorporating into your routine. It smells super fresh and it's not at all drying on the skin.
When it comes to finding high quality skincare, it just goes to show - price isn't everything.
