Three children were rushed to hospital after a car smashed into a daycare centre.
One five-year-old suffered a broken hip and the other two had cuts and bruises after a Range Rover being driven by an 80-year-old man crashed into a Cadillac parked outside the nursery.
The Cadillac then smashed through the wall of the centre, pinning two children underneath, according to news reports.
Little Zaire Davis, who suffered the worst injuries, had been taking a nap in a cot when the accident happened. Firefighters had to use airbags to list the car up so they could pull him out.
His mum Shayla said she had all five of her children at Christian Academy Child Care in Kansas City, Missouri, on Tuesday when the crash happened. She arrived and found four of them shaken, but uninjured.
All 40 children inside the daycare at the time of the accident have been accounted for. The driver of the Range Rover could not explain how or why he had crashed.
