British astronaut Tim Peake has attempted to spread Christmas joy across the plant by releasing a Christmas message from the
International Space Station.
The space traveller will be spending Christmas away from his family, but that fact hasn't wiped away the smile from his face.
Speaking alongside fellow astronauts Scott Kelly and Tim Kopra, Peake says: “Although we can’t be with our friends and families this year, we’ll be orbiting the Earth 16 times on Christmas Day and sending all our good wishes to everybody back down on our beautiful planet Earth.”
