Tom Hiddleston is having quite a week - the release of War Horse, in which he takes a leading role in Steven Spielberg's epic military drama, and now a nomination for the Orange Wednesdays Rising Star Award at this year's BAFTAs.
The RADA graduate also starred in Kenneth Branagh's Thor earlier in the year, Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris and Terence Davies' The Deep Blue Sea. He'll soon turn up again in The Avengers, one of the year's most highly-anticipated blockbusters, so his star is set to rise even further.
Hiddleston shares the shortlist with Eddie Redmayne, Chris O'Dowd, Chris Hemsworth and Adam Deacon.
Redmayne, a former Burberry model, has been a familiar face for a few years with roles in film's like The Other Boleyn Girl and The Good Shepherd, but he gained leading-man status recently with his part in My Week With Marilyn, playing a young film assistant besotted with the screen icon. Next for him is Birdsong for the BBC, and a lead role in the film version of Les Miserables.
And Chris O'Dowd, already a TV face with The IT Crowd, burst into mainstream big screen consciousness with his winning role in smash hit Bridesmaids. He will next appear in Judd Apatow's This is 40, and is engaged to radio presenter Dawn Porter.
Also on the list is Chris Hemsworth, Hiddleston's Australian co-star in both Thor and The Avengers. He'll be seen in Snow White and the Huntsman with Kristen Stewart, and for director Ron Howard as James Hunt in the biopic Rush.
Filling out the list is Adam Deacon - the star of Noel Clarke's Kidulthood and 4321. He then grabbed screen-writing duties himself, as well as starring in box office succes Anuvahood.
This is the only BAFTA award to be voted for by the general public - you can vote here - and the winner will be announced at the BAFTA Awards on 12 February.
Here are the chaps in all their glory:
