Jeremy was fired from the hit BBC Two motoring show earlier this year after punching a producer, and Nick now joins a long list of potential replacements for the veteran presenter.

“I’m a BBC regular and I’ve had conversations with people at the corporation about it,” Nick confirmed to Radio Times.
However, he played the talks down, claiming he was currently too busy with other show’s - including the National Lottery’s ‘Who Dares Wins’ - to commit.
Other names in the frame to land the role include Chris Evans, Philip Glenister and Jodie Kidd.

Chris fuelled rumours when he appeared in a ‘Top Gear’ sketch alongside Jeremy on last week’s ‘TFI Friday’ special.
The future of the show is still up in the air, as James May and Richard Hammond have reportedly turned down a big money offer to return to the show without Jeremy.
His final ‘Top Gear’ episode - filmed before he was fired - is set to air in the next few weeks.
