A six-year-old girl who died in a collision with a tractor was the daughter of two vets.

Police were called to reports of the collision on an unclassified road in Aberdaron, North Wales, at just before 8.40am yesterday.

Teal Amelia David, from Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, died from her injuries.

Her father, Evan, originally from San Francisco, runs his own veterinary firm, NorCal Veterinary Services, in Thame and has previously lived and worked in Aberdaron, according to his company website.

He is married to Clare, a fellow graduate from the University of Liverpool, and it is thought they have two other children.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident involving a red tractor.

A spokeswoman for North Wales Police said: "Anyone with information relating to the incident is asked to call the roads policing unit on 101 quoting reference S093701."
