The nation collectively mourned the loss of 38 people in the terror attack in Tunisia in a minute's silence on Friday at midday.
David Cameron and the Queen both urged schools and local authorities to join, and flags were flown at half-mast at Whitehall and Buckingham Palace.
Wimbledon, which usually starts at 11:30am, held off the day's events until 12:15pm in order to honour the silence.
Many took to Twitter to share photos in an act of solidarity, including regional police departments and the London Embassy.
