The Little Paris Kitchen: Cooking with Rachel Khoo – BBC2, 8.30pm
The final episode with the adorable Rachel Khoo, preparing for picnics, taking us to the Vietnamese restaurants of Paris and creating Beef Wellington with a twist.
She also makes crêpes with Alain, a Parisian market vendor, who believes his crêpes are the best in the universe. Having tried his concoctions once or twice myself, I’ll second his claims and let you in on a little secret – he works in Le Marché des Enfants Rouges in the Marais, Paris. Go and try for yourself.
Panorama – Undercover: Elderly Care – BBC1, 8.30pm
At a care home passed as “excellent” by the Care Quality Commission, one woman captured hidden-camera footage of staff mistreating her elderly mother who has dementia. The video resulted in five employees losing their jobs and one pleading guilty to assault.
In her first television interview, she speaks to Fiona Philips - whose parents also had dementia and whose mother died in a care home – and asks whether the elderly care system can be trusted.
Steps: On The Road Again – Sky Living, 9pm
Who’d have thought that behind Steps’ squeaky-clean, almost nauseating image lay such an intricate web of lies and deceit? Sex, money, egos – you name it, they’ve got it.
As they announced their comeback tour last year, Sky Living gained unprecedented access to it all. I loved watching the tension almost as much as I loved watching their awkward TV performances of Tragedy and The Way You Make Me Feel.
Despite the tears and tantrums, the quintet were desperate enough to continue with their tour. Join them as they hit the road for the first time in over a decade.
Watch Steps perform on This Morning in 2011, for the first time in years...
