A theme park boss has apologised after two young children suffered head injuries when a rollercoaster's emergency brakes kicked in without warning.
A girl of six suffered a gash to her head and a boy of seven was left bloodied and dozens of kids and parents were thrown forward in the accident.
The injured children were taken to hospital and witnesses said others were treated by paramedics for whiplash and bruises.
Richard Beckley, who was on Wild Bill's Runaway Train with daughter Carmen, eight, said: "Children were screaming and shouting."
The ride at the Alice in Wonderland park in Christchurch, Dorset, was shut after Monday's incident for safety checks.
Park boss Russell Lucas said the train's safety mechanism kicked in after detecting a fault. He added:
"It was travelling at no more than 5mph. We are sorry."
