Huffington Post UK Comedy has learned that most people under 70 find Ukip “distasteful if not viscerally repugnant”.
“When I was growing up, Ukip simply didn't exist," one told us. "I accept that the world has moved on - but I still hold the view that it's wrong."
When HuffPost UK Comedy asked under-70s how they felt about Ukip, which was formed in 1993, most of them said it still made them feel "uncomfortable".
“There are a lot of people in this country who are disconcerted by the change in the traditional meaning of tolerance," said one. "I understand Ukip candidates have different views - but I don't see why I should tolerate them if they're homophobic ones.”
