Looks like Victoria Beckham made a new bezzie mate at the 2013 CFDA & Vogue Fashion Fund Event held at the Chateau Marmont this week.
The designer tweeted a picture of her and David cosying up to the Girls star, writing: "LOVED meeting @lenadunham at the CFDA Fashion fund in LA x vb
Lena was one of the co-hosts of the dinner alongside Federico Marchetti, Diane von Furstenberg, and Anna Wintour.
After the bash, Posh tweeted: "Such a lovely time yesterday with @voguemagazine & @CFDA, meeting all the Fashion Fund finalists! #CVFF2013 X vb."
So what is the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund? The Council of Fashion Designers of America and Vogue magazine have created an endowment to support the next generation of American fashion designers.
Its website says: "With monies raised, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund has been established, the stated purpose of which is to generate sufficient income each year to fund significant financial awards to one or more designers and provide business mentoring. Award recipients are selected by a Committee of industry experts, based on the exceptional talent they have already demonstrated in fashion design and their capacity for future distinction in the fashion industry."
The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Selection Committee annually selects three emerging fashion designers, who receive business mentoring and a $300,000 prize to help them set up their line. Two runners up also receive $100,000 each.
And it's also an excuse for lots of stars and fashion types to get together and schmooze at events like this.
