One year on from the death of Victoria Wood, the comedy world is still in shock from losing another of its biggest stars.
The comedian, actress and writer passed away following a short battle with cancer, 12 months ago today on Wednesday 20 April 2016, aged just 62.
The star had a long and successful career after first bursting into our lives via the TV talent show, ‘New Faces’ in 1974.
She went on to write and star in the hugely successful ‘Victoria Wood As Seen On TV’ as well as ‘Acorn Antiques’ and ‘Dinnerladies’, featuring her long-time collaborator Julie Walters.
