Friends and family gathered yesterday to say goodbye to Amy Winehouse.
The singer, who died at the weekend, was given a private cremation service in North London, following a service attended by her family and friends from the world of music, including her prizewinning collaborator Mark Ronson, and Kelly Osbourne, who flew in from America to attend the ceremony.
Winehouse's father Mitch, who was very close to his daughter, gave a eulogy, in which he described the star's recent years as the happiest of her life, when she had managed to break free of drug-addiction and found happiness with her most recent boyfriend, film director Reg Traviss. Winehouse's ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil did not attend the service.
