After leading a campaign against fracking this summer, Vivienne Westwood turned her attention to another political matter at London Fashion Week on Sunday.
The designer showed her support for the 'Yes' campaign backing Scottish independence during her Spring/Summer 2015 show.
Westwood sent her model fleet down the runway wearing 'Yes' badges pinned on lapels and hats. The 73-year-old British fashion designer also wrote following message on the show notes for her audience:
"I am so excited. Fingers crossed they will win. Because if they do, it could be the turning point towards a better world.
"They could lead by example," it read.
Westwood has often used her catwalk presence to make a political statement and this show did exactly that.
As for the collection? Think statement making double-breasted jackets, sharp tailoring, pinstripes, exaggerated collars and her trademark tartans.
The Scottish independence vote is set to take place on 18 September when Scottish people will decide if they want to break away from the rest of the UK. Clearly, this designer has made up her mind.
