What is your best all time fashion moment?

My first time working backstage at the Derek Lam Spring 2004 collection show and seeing all the little pieces come together in a matter of seconds.

What inspires you?

Seeing people on the street and how each one is different; how each individual expresses their style directly through their clothing.

What is your first fashion memory?

My internship at Michael Kors. I worked with him and his collection design team directly and was able to learn from one of the greatest American designers first hand.

Person you would most like to collaborate with...

Dries Van Noten

If you weren't a designer, what would you do?

A Chef

Who is your style icon?

Gitte Lee, Diana Vreeland, Michelle Williams, and Diane Kruger

What is the best piece of fashion advice you've ever been given?

No Rules! Some of the best outfits are ones you feel comfortable in. If you feel good, you will look good!

When you aren't designing, what do you like to do?

Traveling and finding inspiration through unexpected places like in India and Egypt. These places have so much history, culture and architecture. One can find very beautiful prints/colors from India and intricate patterns from Egypt.

Name three things you can't live without.

My iPhone, my sketchbook and my camera.

Fashion should be more...

About individual expression.
