  • DO dress to impress. A wedding is a significant day. If you can't dress up today, then when can you?
  • DON'T be overly sexy. It's obvious really, but don't look better than the bride. Watch out for anything too tight, short or low. If it turns heads, it's a no.
  • DO take a spare pair of tights. The amount of times I've arrived at a wedding with a small ladder in my tights that I've spent the day trying to hide. Not a good look and so easily sorted.
  • DON'T worry about out-dated wedding traditions. Don't wear white, must wear a hat, have to buy a gift. Anything goes these days, so don't let the oldies talk you out of anything.
  • DO ask about the dress code. Every wedding will be a different look after all.
  • DON'T forget to break your shoes in. Do everything you can to avoid sore feet whether it's wearing your shoes in or slipping some comfy insoles in. I never go to a wedding without my foldaway flats just in case the killer heels beat me by the end of the night or it's a long walk from the ceremony.
  • DO dare to be bold and bright. This is a celebration after all. So wear something fun to get the party going. I always feel more in the mood when I have a bright yellow or blue number on.
  • DON'T forget your brolly. It's no good making all that effort only to be windswept and damp because you've not considered what you are going to wear on top.
  • DO think about what type of underwear will work best. Bra straps showing in a backless dress isn't a good look. That and the VPL's are a definite no no. As soon as you realise your faux pax, you won't be able to relax and all that money you spent looking great will have been wasted.
