During last Sunday night's Oscars, many things happened. Billy Crystal blacked up and pretended to be Sammy Davis Jr. again, Sacha Baron Cohen dumped ashes over Ryan Seacrest's dinner jacket and Zach Galifianakis failed to pronounce his own name properly.
As well as all this, something else of note occurred. Something altogether... kookier. Much kookier, in fact.
That's right, Wes Anderson unveiled two new adverts, both for Hyundai, both with a gentle, loveable voiceover from Jeff Bridges.
One, appropriately called 'Talk To My Car' is about how you can talk to your Hyundai, and seems inspired by Chitty Chitty Bang Bang of all things. You can take a look at that one in the panel above.
The other, titled 'Modern Life', is a Andersonian portrayal of a house husband trying to cook dinner for all his kids. How a car gets involved with that one, we'll let you find out for yourself below.
Of course it's not the first time the king of kook has accepted advertisers' big, big dollar - just take a look a this video gallery of Anderson's adverts and you'll see he even stars in some of them.
