Cannes Film Festival 2014 is set to be one of the most exciting events of the entertainment industry's calendar and is scheduled to take place in the French riviera town from May 14 to May 25.
The festival is famous for hosting huge premieres, deciding the critical fate of much-anticipated films and awarding the Palme d'Or, an accolade bestowed on the film the Cannes Jury deems to be the most impressive.
And let's not forget how much red carpet joy this event gives us. You can expect Dior, Chanel and Valentino - when it comes to Cannes, there's no skimping on glamour.
Want to know more about this year's festival? Here's three things of notes about Cannes 2014...
1.Grace Of Monaco is the opener. The hyped biography charting Grace Kelly's life after she married Prince Rainier III will premiere at the festival and launch this year's events. This is exciting because a) Nicole Kidman is playing Princess Grace and b) the vintage fashion is sure to be completely to die for.
2. It may feature Ryan Gosling's directorial debut. Remember when the most attractive man on the planet quit acting to be on the other side of the camera? Well, rumour has it his first film How To Catch A Monster will be screened at Cannes. Which means Gosling will be there. In a suit. Looking fly.
3. Maleficent is rumoured to be one of the big premieres on the bill. That's right, the film in which Angelina Jolie, in the title role, is SO scary the only child directors could cast to work with her was her own daughter Vivienne. We die.
