Whitney Houston's mother is writing a tell-all book about her late daughter's life, according to a US report.
Cissy Houston, who published her own memoir, How Sweet the Sound, in 1998, met with publishers at the St. Regis Hotel in New York this week to negotiate the release of the tome, according to the New York Times.
Houston, 78, is reportedly aiming to set the record straight about the superstar's troubled life and her death at the age of 48 in February.
One publishing executive told the newspaper: "She (Houston) said, 'There are so many lies out there and I want to dispel all of those lies.'"
The publication reports Houston will use a ghostwriter for the book.
The news comes shortly after the late singer's pal BeBe Winans announced plans to detail his friendship with the star in his own book, titled The Whitney I Knew. It is expected to be released in July.
